Ensiferum es una banda finlandesa de Folk Metal / Death Metal Melodico, formada en 1995 por Markus Toivonen. El vocalista de esta banda, hasta la mitad de su historia fue Jari Maempaa, vocalista de Wintersun. En el disco Victory Songs, entra a reemplazarlo Petri Lindroos, Ex frontman de Norther. Esta banda es la viva melodia del metal finlandés, en todo su esplendor.
